The High-Pressure Metallurgy Group is part of the Base Metals division within Hatch. The group is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of autoclaves used globally for the recovery of minerals such as gold, nickel, uranium, and other precious metals.

Title:Mechanical Technologist (Piping) Co-op - Mississauga

Position Summary:

Hatch is seeking a Mechanical Technologist (Piping) Co-op Student with an interest in Mining and Metals for a 12-month internship starting January 2024. Reporting to HPM Piping Design Lead, you will support projects globally, working from our Mississauga Head Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment
  • Preparation of and updates to project deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and pipe isometric drawings

  • Development of piping and plant layouts for various industrial processes

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical Technology Program at an accredited College
