Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

Hydrogeologist

Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Hydrogeologistto join our Dynamic Earth Solutions group, supporting groundwater services in Western Canada and global projects in our three business sectors: Mining, Infrastructure and Energy

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Planning, coordination, and support for the execution of field programs.
• Supervision of site work including supervising junior and technical field staff and technical resources.
• Perform field work on hydrogeological and geotechnical programs including monitoring, supervision of borehole drilling and monitoring well installation.
• Design and conduct slug testing, aquifer testing and groundwater sampling
• Involved in development of groundwater models, preparation of risk assessments, hydrogeological input to various studies.
• Reviewing field information from investigations; preparation of reports including the interpretation of geological/hydrogeological conditions, factual and interpretive reporting of field data and site conditions
• Managing and participating in the development of budgets and plans for projects and proposals.
• Provide support in the production of technical reports.
• Assist with writing and preparing proposals and supporting senior staff.

You bring to the role:

• 地质学学士学位/水文地质或青烟ogical Engineering from an accredited university
• Registered or eligible to be registered as Professional Geoscientist or engineer.
• 5+ years’ relevant and diverse design and analytical experience in hydrogeology
• Experience with working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Good safety awareness

Ability to function with minimal supervision.
